Why blend these fibers?
This is the blend that started our mill. We started as alpaca breeders, and our goal was to re-create the Incan alpaca with its vicuna fine fiber only rivaled by merino for its uniformity. We succeeded in this but couldn’t find any mills to process it. So we started our own mill.
The Chiri Cloud 80’s fiber is all from our herd of huacaya alpacas, and the Rambouillet is from America. It’s a true testament to America’s spirit of innovation and tradition of high quality products.
What can it do?
Perfect for spinning, needle or wet felting.
Ideal for next to skin garments.
How does it feel?
A truly unique experience of silky softness with subtle spring. The only thing I’ve felt that feels remotely like this is vicuña.
Suggested spinning level
80’s grade huacaya alpaca from America
18.2um Rambouillet from America
