Why blend these fibers?
Its one thing to find a complementary fiber to make up for what one fiber lacks. Its another thing entirely to maximize what makes a fiber unique by blending it with another fiber with similar characteristics. This was part of the idea of blending Gotland with Mulberry Silk. Both are long, strong and shiny, though silk is softer. My favorite thing about these blends is the interplay of the grey Gotland with the colored silks.
